Uttisthata 2nd Year 2nd Issue released

The 2nd issue of 2nd year of the magazine Uttisthata has been released on 19th April, 2015 in Kulti. This is an initiative involving some of our ex-students including Anindyasundar Ghosh of 1985 batch.

The issue is available online at the website of the organization named Shrinvantu.

Swami Sivapradananda's article in Anandabazar

An article by Swami Sivapradananda aka Saikateshda, en ex-student and ex-headmaster of Vidyapith, has been published in the Robibasoriyo section of Anandabazar Patrika, a leading Bengali daily on 3rd May, 2015. The name of the article is Dak Diyechho Kin Sakaale (ডাক দিয়েছ কোন সকালে) . Members can go through the article here.

Ex-student's story published in 'Desh' magazine

A story written by Prasenjit Sinha, an ex-student of 1987 batch, has been published at Desh (দেশ), a leading literary magazine in Bengali in the issue of 17th April, 2015. The name of the story is Nabajibaner Ankur (নবজীবনের অঙ্কুর) .

Our hearty congratulations to him for his literary achievement.

Sri Swapan Banerjee at Kolkata

Sri Swapan Banerjee, ex English teacher of Vidyapith will deliver a lecture at Gadhadhar Ashram, Kolkata on 22nd April, 2015 from 6 PM onwards.

Members are requested to join the same.

Community Lunch at Leprosy Centre

A Community Lunch was organized by the Purulia Unit of our Association at Nabakusthashram near Dabur village, Choto Balarampur, Purulia on 22nd February, 2015 in commemoration of the Tithi Puja of Sri Sri Thakur.

Nearly 37 residents therein were offered with lunch which included mutton as per their choice and request.

Sri S.L.Perumal, ex teacher of Vidyapith and presently Secretary of Kalyan, Purulia was present in the occasion along with a large number of ex students of the Purulia district.

Schedule for Reunion, 2015

The 17th Reunion of the Alumni Association is slated on 21st & 22nd November, 2015 at the Vidyapith premises.

Panchu da passed away

Panchu Gopal Dutta, ex art teacher of Vidyapith, expired on 6th January, 2015 at Puruliya Sadar Hospital at 11.15am. He was 75.

Panchu da is survived by his wife.

May his soul rest in peace.

Picnic, 2015

The Annual Picnic is slated on 11th January, 2015 at Mallik Kanan, Barrackpore from 9 am onwards. Members are requested to join the same with their family.
