50 years of passing out from Vidyapith

Hopefully we will celebrate our next Reunion sometime in November/December 2015 at Vidyapith premises.

The 1965 and 1966 Batches will complete their 50 years of passing out from Vidyapith. The event is really a memorable one and needs to be commemorated.

The Association has contacted many members of the said batches and the process is still on.

To facilitate the process, the Facebook page of Dipak Adhikary-1966 batch (Mobile-9830118326) may be used and members of the said batches are requested to contact him through FB or Mobile.

Uttisshthata - Fourth Issue Released

The 4th issue of the magazine Uttishthata has been published on 12th October, 2014 at Swami Vivekananda Vaniprachar Samity, Durgapur in a seminar on Entrepreneurship Development Programme. Industrial Development Officer of District Industry Centre, Burdwan and Representative of Society for the Employment of Unemployed Youth, a Society under Govt. of West Bengal were present on that occasion. Swami Sukhanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Assansol presided over the function and published the 4th issue.

Vijaya Sammilani, 2014

The Vijaya Samamelani for the year is slated on 26th October, 2014 at Marble Palace, Kolkata from 5 pm onwards. Members along with their family members are invited to attend the same.

Landmark: On Central Avenue, opposite Ram Mandir. Metro Station- Mahatma Gandhi Road.

Subho Vijaya, 2014

The Association extends the heartiest Vijaya greetings to all its members and their families.

Swapan da Retires

Sri Swapan Kumar Bandyopadhyay, our respected and beloved Swapan-da, retires from the service today, 27th September, 2014. As the Puja vacation starts from tomorrow, Swapanda takes his final classes today.

Fund distributed to Group D staff

The 1985 batch handed over Rs 4,05,000/- (Rs. Four Lakhs Five Thousand only) in April, 2014 to the Vidyapith authorities to be distributed amongst the permanent, temporary and casual (more than 5 years) Group D staff of Vidyapith.
Vidyapith authority has distributed the money equally among the employees on 15th September, 2014.

Ex-student becomes State BJP Chief

Sri Siddhartha Bhattacharya of 1978 Batch has been appointed as the President of the Bhartiya Janata Party of the Assam unit.

Uttishthata - Third Issue Released

The 3rd issue of the magazine Uttishthata has been released on 13th July, 2014 in a workshop on Self employment, organized by Chandrakana Road Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sanskriti Samsthan in collaboration with Shrinvantu Welfare Forum with the help of Society for self employment of unemployed youth, a society under Government of West Bengal at Chandrakana Road, West Midnapur. . More than 150 people of nine organizations under Bhab Prachar Parishad of Belur Math participated in this programme.

Saikateshda to take charge of Barisha

After a short stint at Ramakrishna Mission, Patna, Swami Sivapradananda, our Saikatesh da (ex-student of 1976 HS) will very shortly take charge as Secretary of Ramakrishna Math, Barisha.

Ex-student Ranjit Kumar Mukherjee passed away

Sri Ranjit Kumar Mukherjee of 1968 batch passed away on 27th July, 2014 at KPC Hospital of Kolkata at the age of 65.

Ranjit da was an ex-student of both Purula & Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission institutions. He was an active member of the Association and served as the General Secretary from 1982 to 1991.

He left behind his mother, his brother Sanjib Mukherjee (1968 batch), his wife, his son Debabrata Mukherjee (1997 batch) and his daughter.

May his soul rest in peace is our prayer to the Almighty.
