Donation by 1985 Batch

The 1985 batch handed over Rs 4,05,000/- (Rs. Four Lakhs Five Thousand only) to the Vidyapith authorities to be distributed amongst the permanent, temporary and casual (more than 5 years) Group D staff of Vidyapith.

A function was arranged on 12th April, 2014 during the Assembly of the school, where Swami Akinchananandaji Maharaj (Anil Maharaj), Assistant Secretary, Swami Saktipradanandaji Maharaj, Headmaster, Sri Swapan Bandyopadhyay, Sri Sakti Prasad Mishra were present along with a large number of teaching and non-teaching members.

Ex-student contests Lok Sabha Polls

Probably for the first time any of our Member is contesting a Lok Sabha poll.

This time Dr Mriganka Mahato of 1980 Batch, eminent eye specialist, is contesting from the Purulia Lok Sabha Constituency. He will be representing the All India Trinamool Congress Party.

The Association expresses its best wishes to him.

Palash Parban, 2014

Palash Parban, is an annual program organized by Country Roots, an entity headed by Subhankar Maity, an ex Student from Madhyamik 2005 & HS 2007 batch.

This year also they are organizing the same at Purulia on the 14th, 15th and 16th March, 2014. The details of the same with cost is attached.

Research Work by Sri Santi Singha

A research work on Bankura- Puruliar Shilpa o Sanskriti (বাঁকুড়া পুরুলিয়ার শিল্প ও সংস্কৃতি) has recently been published by Deys Publishing of 13 Bankim Chatterjee Street, Kolkata 700 073.

The research work has been conducted by Sri Santi Singha, ex Bengali Teacher of Ramakrishna Mission Vidypith, Purulia, our beloved Santi Da.

The Book is of 536 pages and costs Rs 500.

Interested members are requested to collect the same.

Book by Rajatkanti SinhaChoudhuri

A book of poems by Rajatkanti SinhaChoudhuri will be published at the Kolkata Book fair on 7th February, 2014 at 3 pm. The name of the book is Desher Mati. The venue is the stall of Pratibhas (stall no. 549).

Sri Ajay Chatterjee is available as Teacher

Sri Ajayendranth Chatterjee, retired Biology teacher of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Purulia has now settled in Kolkata. His residence is near Mitali Sangha playground in Garia.

Swami Sivapradananada, aka Saikatesh Maharaj, has sent an invitation to join the programme in commemoration of the 150th Birth anniversary of Swamiji at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Patna. Saikatesh Maharaj recently took charge of the Ashrama at Patna.

It's a two-day programme including Swamiji's Tithi Puja.

A quarterly Magazine named Utthisthoto released on 5th January, 2014 (Sunday) at the Vivekananda Centenary Hall of Ramakrishna Mission Boys' Home at Belghoria.
