Book by ex-student on Vidyapith

Iskulgatha

Biswajit Ray, en ex-student from 1993 batch (brother of Indrajit Ray of 1985 batch) has authored a book named 'Iskulgatha' (ইস্কুলগাথা) on Vidyapith life.

The book will be published by Saptarshi Prakashan at the upcoming Kolkata book fair. The book is priced at Rs 200.

Swami Sivapradananda aka Saikatesh Maharaj will release the book on 28th January, 2017 at 6:30 pm at the publisher's stall at book fair.

Members are encouraged to attend the book release ceremony and collect copies of the book.

Reunion 2017 Scheduled

The 18th Reunion of the Alumni Association is slated on 18th and 19th Nov, 2017 at the Vidyapith premises. Please spread the news.

Saikateshda's lecture at Akashvani

There will be a deliberation of 8 minutes by Swami Sivapradananda aka Saikatesh Maharaj on the topic Swamiji, Sister Nivedita and Us (স্বামীজী, সিস্টার নিবেদিতা ও আমরা) on 11th January, 2017 at 8:20 am transmitted by Akashvani, Kolkata Ka (কলকাতা ক) center.

Members are encouraged to spread the news and listen to the same.

Picnic, 2017

The Annual Picnic is slated on 8th January, 2017 at Mallik Kanan, Barrackpore. Members are requested to join the same with their family.

Contribution by 1989 batch

A donation of Rs 2,00,000/-(Two Lakhs) was made by the 1989 Batch today to the Vidyapith authorities.

The same would be used for development of the Vidyapith Charitable Dispensary.

The Association congratulates the members of 1989 Batch.

Air-conditioners installed in school library

Air-conditioners have been installed in the Vidyapith library on 26th October, 2016. The facility has been sponsored by 1993 batch.

Once again, thanks to to 1993 batch for their commitment.

Vijaya Sammilani scheduled on 6th November, 2016

The Vijaya Sammelani for the year is scheduled at the Marble Palace, 46 Muktaram Babu Street, Kolkata on 6th November, 2016 from 5 pm onwards.

Asit Ghosh da passed away

Asit Ghosh da, ex-teacher of Ceramics at Vidyapith, passed away at his residence in Belghoria this morning (30th September, 2016).

Asit da was aged 80. His three sons are also ex-students of Vidyapith, one being Anindyasundar Ghosh of 1985 batch.

May his soul rest in peace is our earnest prayer to the Almighty.

1995 batch contributes for scholarship

Ex-students of 1995 batch donated Rs 50000/- to Vidyapith to award scholarship to 1 or 2 students of class XI & XII for this financial year.

Vidyapith authorities thank the alumni members for their noble effort (letter attached).

Rabi Ratan Bhowmik passed away

Sri Rabi Ratan Bhowmik (Rabi da/Rabi Mama of Vidyapith hospital) passed away this morning (16th Sept, 2016) at his niece's place.

He was aged 82 and was residing at the Home for the Aged at Ramakrishna Math, Barisha.

May his soul rest in peace.
