Participation of Family Members at the Reunion (Headcount), 2017

Members are individually requested to inform through this site the no of family members who will be  participating the ensuing Reunion with him  on or before 12.11.2017. Please comment the same on this post.

Members are requested not to make any telephonic calls to any particular member(s) for this purpose and discharge his responsibility.

Participation at the Reunion(Batchwise Headcount), 2017

Members are requested to inform through this site the no. of heads who will be  participating the ensuing Reunion batch wise on or before 15.11.2017.

Every batch is requested to coordinate amongst themselves to fix the no of heads and any one of them to comment the same in this site against this post.

Members are also requested to inform the trains they will be availing so as to facilitate the presence of vehicles at Purulia Station.  

Vijaya Sammilani scheduled on 29th October, 2017

The Vijaya Sammelani of the Association is slated on 29.10.2017 at Marble Palace, 46 Muktaram Babu Street (opposite Ram Mandir on C.R.Avenue), Kolkata from 5pm onwards.

Sri Swapan Bandyopadhyay to be felicitated

Backward Class Welfare Cell, University of Calcutta in association with Parul Prakashani will observe the Teachers' Day on 7th September, 2017. Fifty distinguished teachers and ten esteemed litterateurs, academicians and scientists will be felicitated on this occasion. The Association takes pride to note that our dear Swapan da aka Sri Swapan Bandyopadhyay, ex-teacher of Vidyapith, is among the ones to be felicitated.

The programme will be held in Dr. Meghnad Saha hall at Rasbehari Siksha Prangan (Rajabazar Campus), 92 APC Road, Kolkata - 700009 at 12 noon on 07/09/2017.

Articles requested for the Souvenir

As we all remember, the Reunion is slated on 18th and 19th November, 2017 at the Vidyapith premises.

Our Souvenir Abhyudaya will also be published like other years. We request for articles from you in English and Bengali and the matters must be restricted within 4 A4 size pages after typing.

The Association reserves the right of publishing any article without showing and informing any reason whatsoever if it thinks fit.

Sri Swapan Bandyopadhyay at R.K.Mission, Belghoria on 05.09.2017

Sri Swapan Bandyopadhyay, ex teacher of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, will be present in the Teachers' Day celebration on 5th September, 2017 at Ramakrishna Mission Silpapith, Beloghoria, Kolkata.

The program is slated from 1.30 p.m. on 05.09.2017.

Ex Student Bidyut Mazumder passed away

Bidyut Mazumder of 1983 Batch passed away a few days before at his residence at Bolpur.

He left behind his daughters and wife.

A Chartered Accountant by Profession, he will be remembered for his superb cricketing skills and nice behavior.

May his soul rest in peace is our prayer to the Almighty.

Kalipada Maharaj admitted at Seva Pratishthan

Swami Putananda ji aka Kalipada Maharaj was admitted at Ramkrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan on 31st July as he fell down and got femur bone fractured. He is staying at Premananda Bhavan room no. 53. Uday Chowdhury, an ex-student of Vidyapith, admitted him.

We pray for his quick recovery.

Swami Akinchananandaji leaves Vidyapith

Swami Akinchananandaji Maharaj (Anil Maharaj ) has got transferred from Vidyapith recently and will be hereinafter at Belur Math.

Respected Maharaj served Vidyapith for nearly 40 years.

We wish to see Maharaj in our ensuing Reunion at Vidyapith.

Donation by Madhyamik 2006 batch

Recently members of 2006 (Madhyamik) batch around 48 in number visited Vidyapith in commemoration of their 20 years of association with the Alma Matter and donated approx Rs 85000/- to the school authorities for its development.

The Association appreciates the act and express its heartiest congratulations to the young members.
