Ex-student Chandraprakash Das passed away

Sri Chandraprakash Das, ex-student from Madhyamik 2000 batch passed away on 12th June, 2017 at his residence in Bhubaneswar due to cardiac arrest.

He left behind his parents.

May his soul rest in peace is our prayer to the Almighty.

A Meeting was held on 30th APril, 2017 at with Vidyapith premsies with the Vidyapith Administration and the Executive Committee of the Alumni Association.

For Vidyapith were present Swami Jyanolokanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Swami Chidrasanandaji Maharaj, Chief Warden and Swami Gatidanandaji Maharaj, Headmaster.

Scholarship by 1995 batch

1995 batch donation

Ex-students of 1995 Batch has committed to work with the Alumni Association to sponsor a Scholarship of Rs. 50,000 each year for Class XI-XII, starting in 2016. The scholarship is designed for the benefit of student(s) with merit, requiring some financial support.

The cheque was handed over to respected Anil Maharaj by Biplab Mahato from 1995 batch.

Sriman Manisankar Mahato & Sriman Niloy Ghosh received the scholarship for 2016.

The Association appreciates the effort and thanks the ex-students of 1995 batch for their commitment.

Diamond Jubilee celebration of Vidyapith

The Diamond Jubilee celebration of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Purulia  will commence on April 12, 2017 at the Vidyapith premises.

Most Revered Swami Subiranandaji Maharaj will grace the occasion.

Members are requested to join the same.

Film by Ex-student selected in Film Festival

Sourav Sarkar, an alumnus from 2001 batch directed a Bengali documentary film 'Nibhritochari' (নিভৃতচারী) which has been selected in 3rd International Film Festival of Prayag, New Delhi 2017.
The Association congratulates the director and encourages members to watch the film.

Book by ex-student on Vidyapith


Biswajit Ray, en ex-student from 1993 batch (brother of Indrajit Ray of 1985 batch) has authored a book named 'Iskulgatha' (ইস্কুলগাথা) on Vidyapith life.

The book will be published by Saptarshi Prakashan at the upcoming Kolkata book fair. The book is priced at Rs 200.

Swami Sivapradananda aka Saikatesh Maharaj will release the book on 28th January, 2017 at 6:30 pm at the publisher's stall at book fair.

Members are encouraged to attend the book release ceremony and collect copies of the book.

Reunion 2017 Scheduled

The 18th Reunion of the Alumni Association is slated on 18th and 19th Nov, 2017 at the Vidyapith premises. Please spread the news.

Saikateshda's lecture at Akashvani

There will be a deliberation of 8 minutes by Swami Sivapradananda aka Saikatesh Maharaj on the topic Swamiji, Sister Nivedita and Us (স্বামীজী, সিস্টার নিবেদিতা ও আমরা) on 11th January, 2017 at 8:20 am transmitted by Akashvani, Kolkata Ka (কলকাতা ক) center.
