Cultural programme

Vidyapith immediately started the relief work among the affected people. Alumni Association organized a cultural programme at Mahajati Sadan in February 1993 to raise fund to support the effort. Suman Chattopadhyay and Chandrabindu group were the attractions of the evening. Finally he entire amount was handed over to Vidyapith.

Higher Secondary

The General body of Alumni Association adopted a resolution in 1999 for setting up a Higher Secondary stream at Vidyapith considering the tremendous difficulties faced by the students of Vidyapith after passing out the Madhyamik examination from there. With the copy of that resolution the Association moved to several trustees and distinguished monks at the Headquerters at Belur Math and tried to convince them with the reason. Finally, the effort succeeded and the first Higher Secondary batch passed out from Vidyapith in 2002 with remarkable academic performance.

Computer & Generator for Vidyapith

Consequently, Vidyapith authorities introduced computer education mandatorily amongst the students right from class IV. But unfortunately the classes got severely disrupted due to unpredictable power cuts.
