Contribution on occassion of Tithipuja

Alumni Association made a contribution to Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan, Kolkata and Ramakrishna Mission Boys' Home, Rahara.
As every year Association made a humble contribution of Rs. 51/- to each of these institutions on occassions of Tithipuja of Ma Sarada and Swamiji.

Annual Picinic, 2005 rescheduled on 26th January

Due to unavoidable circumstances the Annual Picnic has been rescheduled on 26th January, 2005.
The picnic is scheduled at Mallik Kanan,Barrackpore from 10AM onwards. The spot is adjacent to Morning Star College on Barrackpore-Barsat Road.

All members with their families are cordially invited. Other details remain unchanged anyway. Subscription is Rs. 100/- per head for working members & Rs. 60/- for non working & student members.

Contribution for Tsunami relief

The devastating Tsunami hit a major area of our country by the end of December, 2004. As always, the Ramakrishna Math & Mission has started the relief work among the distressed. The Association has made a humble contribution of Rs. 501/- to Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math to support the effort.

Contribution to academic cause

The Association has donated Rs. 501/- to Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, Chapra for building up a Free Basic Eduction Centre.

Function at Balaram Mandir

Alumni Association organized a special programme in commemoration of the 150 th Birth Anniversary of the Holy Mother Sarada Devi.
With great sincerity and deepest regards the Association conducted the Programme at Balaram Mandir on 12th December, 2004.

Sri Partha Chatterjee(1961) commenced the event at 9.30A.M with his melodious chanting and songs. A highest level performance in chanting was done by Sri Debabrata Mukherjee(1997), son of Sri Ranjit Mukherjee(1968). Both the singers were assisted in Tabla by Sri Samir Payne(1966).

Annual Picnic, 2005

Annual Picnic of the Association is scheduled on 16th January, 2005. Venue of the aforesaid will be decleared shortly.

All members with their families are cordially invited. If you are at Kolkata or nearby at that time please mark the date on your calendar. It's a Sunday anyway!

Subscription is Rs. 100/- per head for working members & Rs. 60/- for non working & student members. This should reach the Association by 5th January, 2005. You can find the postal address here.

Bijaya Sammilani, 2004

Bijaya Sammilani, the annual get-together event of Alumni association was held at Marble Palace, Kolkata on 21st November. A total of 85 members attended the program. With some of their family members the count exceeded hundred.

It was a joyous Sunday evening. Dr. Dhruba Marjit, the president of Alumni Association addressed everyone to convey his love and best wishes. Also the annual accounts for the financial year ending on 31st March, 2004 were presented. Chirantan Kundu of 1988 batch explained about the alumni website in brief.

Sadhus' meet

Sadhus' meet, a meeting of the Ramakrishna Math & Mission monks was held at Balaram Mandir in May, 2004.

Alumni Association made a humble contribution of Rs. 1,001/- to support the event.

The amount was handed over to Revered Swami Putanandaji (Kalipada Maharaj), ex-Chief Warden of our school.

Sponsorship for a student

Alumni Association sponsors a student at Ramakrishna Mission school at Kamarpukur, Hoogly according to the request of revered Swami Biswanathanandaji (Subhash Maharaj), ex-Headmaster of our school, who is presently in charge of Kamaparpukur school.
The school fees are paid from the interest of the corpus gathered by Life Membership contributions from members. For 2004, an amount of Rs. 8,400/- has been paid to the school for this purpose in April.
