Swami Putanandaji Memorial Fund handover

The balance 5 lakh rupees fund handover program in memory of Swami Putanandaji will be held at Vidyapith Sabha Griha on 9th March 2019 at 6:30 pm.

Members are requested to join the same.

Dr. Tapendra Mallik contributes for the study of a student

A student of class IX was about to leave Vidyapith due to financial reasons. Vidyapith made some considerations with respect to school fees but still there was a shortage of funds.

Thankfully, Dr. Tapendra Mallik (1973 batch), the President of the Alumni Association, came forward to bridge the gap and took it up on himself to pay Rs 50000/- per year for the next two years.

The Association respectfully congratulates Tapen da for his noble gesture.

Prayas Roy Burman, son of ex-student picked up for IPL

Prayas Roy Burman, a 15-year old spinner from Bengal, was sold to RCB for Rs 1.5 Crore in IPL Auction.

Prayas is the son of ex-student Kaushik Roy Burman from 1982 batch.

The Association congratulates Prayas and wishes him all the best.

With pleasure we like to inform that Century Plywoods Limited has made a CSR assistance to Vidyapith for Rs 2,00,000 (Rupees Two Lakhs) yesterday.

The amount will be spent for toilet renovation of the School.

Swami Ambikaatmanandaji gets transferred

Swami Ambikaatmanandaji Maharaj, our dearest Prasanta Maharaj is getting transferred from VIdyapith shortly.He is moving to Belur Math.

Respected Maharaj served Vidyapith for more than 30 years since his joining there in 1987.

He served Vidyapith as Bhandari Maharaj for long and it is during his tenure the modern Kitchen set up came to use. He was for long associated with the Maintenance Department of Vidyapith..

We wish him in the best of his spirits and health in the days to come.

Exhibition of paintings by Ramananda Bandyopadhyay

There will be an exhibition of paintings by Ramananda Bandyopadhyay from 3rd to 28th December, 2018 at Debovasha Boi O Shilper Abaas, 9/2 Fern Road, Gariahat, Kolkata 700019.

This is a tribute on the birthday of Nandalal Bose.

The exhibition will be inaugurated on 3rd December 6 pm and will be open from 1pm to 9pm.

Ex-students are welcome to visit it.

Swami Jnanalokanandaji ends tenure as Secretary of Vidyapith

Swami Jnanalokanandaji's Farewell

Swami Jnanalokanandaji has handed over charge to Swami Sivapradanandaji Maharaj and is heading towards Belur Math today.

Respected Maharaj will take charge as Secretary of Swamiji'r Bari from January'19 end.

Swami Jnanalokananda will be remembered for his relentless efforts in achieving the goals for which our Alma Matter was established.His efforts in the establishment of the Maa Sarada Coaching Centre - we hope will be a milestone in the history of Purulia district.

We wish him with high spirits and best of health in the days to come.

Swami Sivapradananda aka Saikatesh Maharaj took over as the new Secretary of Vidyapith.

There will be a farewell of Swami Jnanalokanandaji and welcome for Saikatesh Maharaj from 8 am onwards.

Requesting all ex-students in and around Purulia to be present.

Ex-student Indrajit Ray appointed Presidency University’s chair professor

Indrajit Ray, an ex-student from 1985 batch, has been appointed Presidency University’s new Infosys distinguished chair professor in economics.

Currently a professor at Cardiff Business School, UK, Indrajit attended Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur and Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata as a student after passing out from Vidyapith.
