Swami Sivapradananda aka Saikatesh Maharaj took over as the new Secretary of Vidyapith.

There will be a farewell of Swami Jnanalokanandaji and welcome for Saikatesh Maharaj from 8 am onwards.

Ex-student Indrajit Ray appointed Presidency University’s chair professor

Indrajit Ray, an ex-student from 1985 batch, has been appointed Presidency University’s new Infosys distinguished chair professor in economics.

Currently a professor at Cardiff Business School, UK, Indrajit attended Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur and Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata as a student after passing out from Vidyapith.

Swami Sivapradananda to be new Secretary Maharaj of Vidyapith

Swami Sivapradanandaji Maharaj aka Saikatesh Maharaj will take over as Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith , Purulia on 28th November, 2018.

An ex-student of 1976 HS , Saikatesh Da served the institution as Headmaster from 1995 to 2005. It is during his tenure the Higher Secondary section of Purulia recommenced after its closure in 1976.

After his innings at Vidyapith , he was the Editor of Udbodhon Patrika.

Inauguration of Diamond Jubilee Open Stage

In commemoration of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, an Open Air Stage was inaugurated at Vidyapith on 10th October, 2018 by Swami Suparnanandaji Maharaj, Secretary , Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture.

Dr Sugato Marjit, ex Vice Chancellor of Calcutta University was present in the occasion along with many a other distinguished guests.

Swami Putanandaji Memorial Fund handed over at Deoghar Vidyapith

A function was arranged at the school assembly of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Deoghar on 14th Septemebr, 2018 where a corpus of Rs 3,00,000 (Three Lakhs only) was handed over to the Deoghar Vidyapith authorities in the memory of our very beloved Swami Putanandaji Maharaj.

As was resolved amongst us, the funds will be utilized to cater the educational needs of boys and girls around Vidyapith Campus and Secretary Maharaj of Deoghar Vidyapith shall have the sole discretion in the selection of the students.

This year on Teachers' Day, 1995 Batch members Biplab Mahato and Haradhan Ghatwal handed over the Cheque of 50001/- INR to Vidyapith to sponsor the education of needy meritorious students of Higher Secondary.

Vidyapith - Patha Bhavan Football Match

In a friendly Football Match between Vidyapith and Patha Bhavan , Santiniketan on 09.09.2018, Vidyapith beat Patha Bhaban by 3-0.

Rohit Singh scored all the goals for Vidyapith.

Completion of Corpus of Swami Putanandaji Memorial Fund

We have successfully completed the donation process of Swami Putanandaji Memorial Fund and the total amount has been Rs 12,85,230.(Rupees Twelve Lakh Eighty Five Thousand Two Hundred Thirty only).

Rs 5,00,000 has already been donated to Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Purulia.

Rs 3,00,000 will be donated to Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Deogarh on 14.09.2018.

Best School Award- Vidyapith receives today at Nazrul Mancha

Swami Gatidanandaji Maharaj (Nageswar Mhj), Headmaster of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith will be receiving the Best School Award in West Bengal today at Nazrul Mancha, Kolkata at 2pm.

He is accompanied by Sri Pankaj Bera and Sri Prabal Gopal Mukherjee.

15 Schools have been selected for the purpose on certain criteria and Vidyapith ranks 4th in the same for 100% first division in last 4 years in HS, Rank in 2016 & 17 and good infrastructure having toilet and drinking water facilities.

Guidelines for Diamond Jubilee Reunion

Some guidelines for the visiting alumni on the occasion of The Special Reunion organised as part of the concluding phase of the Diamond Jubilee Celebration, 2018 :

  1. Reunion Subscription: Every alumnus is requested to get themselves enrolled for the Celebration in the morning of 6 October 2018 and collect their Food Coupons, Memento, etc. from the Central Office between 8 a.m. and 12 noon positively. The subscription fee will be Rs 500/- for Student Members and Rs. 900/- for others per head. This is applicable for family members accompanying the member at the time of Reunion also.
